I CAN South Sudan is a Community-based organization (CBO) registered in the District of Yumbe and working in the Child Protection Sector under the authority of the Prime Minister (OPM) Bidibidi, which aims to engage unaccompanied refugee children in social and musical activities to heal them of trauma. I CAN South Sudan use musical coaching with a focus on community work to develop children's trust and build friendships through the tribal divide that contributed to the civil war in South Sudan. Storytelling and song are vital aspects of the South Sudanese community, so the music curriculum focuses on the preserving of traditional tales, songs and musical practices. I CAN South Sudan is dedicated to the promotion of children's rights in Uganda and South Sudan.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a multi-faceted Project Officer who will be responsible for planning, coordinating and handling project (s) from design to completion. This involves contact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, most of whom oversee several moving pieces of the project concurrently. The job holder will solely be responsible for planning and ensuring the consistency and timely delivery of the core ECCD (BE) program within the designated district/sub-counties. We are looking for an accomplished Project Manager to oversee our Peace Building Project as Project Manager for the Bidibidi Refugee Settlement, Zone 1.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
  • Measure project output by using relevant processes, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Assistance in determining the goals and priorities of the project, including all appropriate stakeholders and ensuring technical viability.
REQUIREMENTS

  • The program manager needs to have a good realistic background with project management.
  • Good understanding of the wider objectives of the program.
  • Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management.
  • Strong organizational and teamwork capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of the budgeting and distribution processes.
  • Capacity to discover new ways to solve the problems.
  • Bachelor's degree in corporate management, social science or similar fields
  • He/she should have a history in sales skills, management, budgeting and research. You can be an exceptional communicator and perform many tasks easily.
  • At least three (3) years of progressive work experience for NGOs in the preparation and delivery of Child Protection programs.
  • Ability to work in a remote and Challenging environment

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a charismatic and pragmatic accountant with outstanding time management abilities, a team player with excellent leadership skills and the capacity to work with limited oversight and use of the initiative. We are also looking for a person who has professional expertise in accounting practice and understanding of financial principles, who has a deep interest and enthusiasm for our work.

PURPOSE OF WORK

To provide logistical assistance to project teams in the field (including field travel) and ensure that the I CAN South Sudan retains a high level of accounting and financial management. Work together with the Project Officer and the Director to provide quality financial information and tools to help the program handle its budgets more efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all accounting transactions;
  • Prepare Budget Outlook
  • Handle weekly, quarterly and annual closures
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable;
  • Ensure prompt payments to banks
  • Calculate income and file tax returns
  • Manage balance sheets of the
  • Report on financial health and liquidity of the Organization
  • Audit of bank transactions and records
  • Enhance secrecy of financial data and backup of databases where appropriate performance with financial laws and legislation.
  • Work with the Project Manager and Logistic Officer to generate quality finance reports for the Program and keep clear records of all financial transactions.
  • Track the cash flow of the services to ensure that contributions are requested in a timely manner to promote the seamless flow of program operations, including ensuring that funding is distributed to the sector in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper invoicing/recharging of other Oxfam offices for the costs accrued by the Program and employees for the private use of I CAN South Sudan services.
  • Ensure that any spending expended is compliant with approved budgets and OPAL programs.
  • Any other role delegated from time to time by the line boss.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

  • Minimum two (2) years of accounting experience in the provision of a wide variety of accounting and financial services, preferably within the context of a Multinational NGO.
  • Established understanding and experience in dealing with computerized accounting programs and spreadsheets.
  • Hands-on training in tax applications (Quick Book and Etall)
  • Advanced skills of MS Excel
  • Experience of general ledger tasks
  • Great attention to detail and sound analytical skills
  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in accounting, finance or equivalent degree.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of financial and accounting systems, policies and processes.
  • Ability to prioritize own workload, work independently, and a determination to work within strict time limits.
  • Strong leadership skills and capacity to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and capacity to accurately present facts and ideas.
  • Commitment to the principles, goals and ideology of I CAN South Sudan.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

I CAN South Sudan is looking for a Peace Building Initiative Monitoring and Evaluation Officer funded by Oxfam IBIS. I CAN South Sudan is a child protection collaborator dedicated to promoting peace and reconciliation between refugees and the local community in the Bidibidi refugee settlement, Zone 1 in the Yumbe District. We are working to create more peace for jobs and to foster peaceful coexistence.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Participate actively in the implementation of M&E processes by providing technical support and checking quality.
  2. Harness, adapt and roll out tools and technological innovations for collecting and analyzing data with an aim of improving the project
  3. Participate in developing an M&E Plan, M&E work plan and indicator tracking matrix, in line with the project’s thematic standards and practice.
  4. Generate program monitoring, reporting and information management plans
  5. Pioneer the development, review and utilization of data collection, monitoring and reporting tools
  6. Participate actively in the enforcement of Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC) and Quality Improvement (QI) measures for all field program interventions
  7. Support fellow team members in capturing and documenting best practices and success stories for learning, reference and dissemination
  8. Generate program information and dash boards for tracking and depicting progress on program and strategy implementation against targets and key milestones
  9. Initiate data analysis and action planning meeting with program teams to review data trends and overall
QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A minimum Diploma in Social Sciences, Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication, Statistics or Demographic Research or a Diploma in Monitoring and Assessment is necessary.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable job requiring data collection, recording and reporting.
  3. Demonstrable experience in producing good quality documents for different audiences and managing GBV& CP information management systems.
  4. Ability to collect, analyze and produce good quality data and information
  5. Established data processing capabilities and concrete understanding of open source resources such as the KoBo Toolbox.
  6. Computer literacy with possible advanced Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint and Ms access
  7. Knowledge in Device Statistics Bundles (EPI INFO, SPSS and Stata)
  8. Demonstrated experience in capacity building and mentoring of staff
  9. Knowledge, skills and experience in participatory survey/research methods
  10. Experience in use of data to inform decision-making, planning, and performance monitoring
  11. Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation skills.
  12. Strong management skills (Managing, motivating and developing staff)
  13. Team player.
  14. Ready to work in difficult environmental conditions
  15. Must be flexible and culturally sensitive.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are searching for an experienced Logistics Officer for our Peace Building Project sponsored by Oxfam AIBIS. The Logistics Officer will be responsible for tracking stock levels and the flow of incoming and outgoing products. He/she is detailed-focused and uses computers to maintain inventory databases under their jurisdiction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
  2. Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively
  3. Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures
  4. Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements
  5. Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs
  6. Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
  7. Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
  8. Prepare accurate reports for upper management

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Proven experience as logistics Officer
  2. Experience in customer service will be appreciated
  3. Knowledge of laws, regulations
  4. Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  5. Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)
  6. Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  8. Willingness to stay and work in a remote and challenging refugee settlement
  9. Bachelor Degree/Diploma in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field
